BUSHNELL – Kevin G. Hoyle, age 52, of Bushnell, Ill., passed away at 8:37 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, in the emergency room at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.
Kevin was born on Nov. 25, 1956, in Avon, Ill., to Gene and Lois I. Thomas Hoyle. He first married Anne Holland and later married Carla Huston on June 16, 1983, in Bushnell, Ill.
She survives, along with three sons, Kerry Hoyle of Chattanooga, Tenn., Zachary Hoyle of Bushnell, Ill., and Austin Hoyle of Bushnell, Ill. He also is survived by one brother, Gary (Cindy) Hoyle of Atlanta, Ga.; and one sister, Simone (Mike) Hall of Macomb, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Kevin was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He enjoyed music and was a talented singer/songwriter, and he was formerly a professional musician.
Kevin also worked as a union carpenter for many years.
He attended the Checkrow Community Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at the Checkrow Community Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, also at the Checkrow Community Church, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Bushnell Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Checkrow Community Church.

A semi collision on U.S. 336 leaves a Bushnell man dead.
Around 6:30 yesterday morning, 52-year-old Kevin G. Hoyle was driving on 336 about five miles east of Carthage when his truck crossed the center line and collided head-on with a semi.
Hoyle was flown to Blessing Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Morning traffic was briefly shut down on U.S. 336 to investigate and clean up the accident scene.
